Mar de Indias House No. 2

CONCEPT

Designing a second home that is luxurious yet minimalistic, for families that enjoy nature and the Caribbean Sea breeze while playing golf and sunbathing at the beach.

CHALLENGE

Creating a minimalist and modern architectural design capable, on the one hand, of attracting the high local and international segment market, and on the other, of reinterpreting the concept of the typical Cartagena beach house concept through a distinct use of space, building materials and vegetation.

DESCRIPTION

A house that has less area and is more open than the Casa Coralina, albeit with a less controlled space since it does not have glass in the façade. It is worth noting the presence of open spaces that interact with each other through ample terraces that take advantage of the landscape as they benefit from the zone’s trade winds. These open spaces aim for the least incidence of sunrays over the house’s interior’s spaces, while being framed by tropical, biodiverse, and exclusive surroundings that are gentle with the Mar de Indias ecosystem.
